Live And Let Live——待人寬容

    ** people should accept the way other people live and behave, especially if they do things in a different way（大家應該接受別人的生活和行為方式，就算他們以不同的方式做事。）

    !! In 1622, Gerard de Malynes wrote this Dutch proverb in The Ancient Law-Merchant：“According to the Dutch prouerbe …… Leuen ende laeten leuen, to liue and to let others liue.”

    （一六二二年，傑拉特‧德‧馬雷尼斯在《古代商人法》中寫下了這條荷蘭諺語：“根據荷蘭人的說法……自己活也讓別人活。”）

    !! It was the spontaneous rise of non-aggressive co-operative behavior that developed during the prolonged periods of trench warfare in World War I, particularly the Christmas Truce of 1914 when two opposing sides laid down arms and played soccer.
